Jeff Garner. 38 anos. O jovem designer, da mesma idade que eu, tem um percurso muito interessante na �rea da moda sustent�vel. O norte-americano que se interessou pelo desenho de moda desde pequeno, seguiu com a sua paix�o mesmo n�o sendo o desejo dos seus pais.

Nascido e criado em Franklin, Tennessee (estado conservador), tudo indicava um futuro que n�o este, ligado � moda. Contudo e felizmente, Garner seguiu com as suas ideias (rebel rebel) e mudou-se para Los Angeles, Calif�rnia. Sabendo aproveitar o gosto que tem pela moda e pela natureza, aliou o melhor das duas.
As suas cole��es e ideias est�o relacionadas � preserva��o do meio ambiente gra�as a uma inf�ncia rural na quinta em Nashville, rodeado de fauna, flora e ar puro. O designer de moda obt�m tamb�m inspira��o nas costureiras do per�odo da Guerra Civil, com as quais teve contacto no seio familiar. Em 2003 voltou � sua terra natal e criou a eco-label Prophetik, transformando e revolucionando a ind�stria da moda.

Jeff Garner. 38 years old. The young designer, who is the same age as me, has a very interesting path in the field of sustainable fashion. The North American who has been interested in fashion design since childhood followed his passion, against his parents� wishes.

Born and raised in Franklin, Tennessee (a conservative state) everything pointed to a future that was not linked to fashion. However, fortunately, Garner went ahead with his ideas (rebel rebel) and moved to Los Angeles, California. Knowing how to take advantage of his taste for fashion and contact with nature, he combined the best of both.
His collections and ideas are related to the preservation of the environment thanks to a rural childhood on a farm in Nashville, surrounded by fauna, flora and fresh air. The fashion designer also draws inspiration from the seamstresses of the Civil War period, who he learned about from family members. In 2003 he returned to his hometown and created the eco-label Prophetik, transforming and revolutionizing the fashion industry.

SUMMER OF '17 | CARIBBEAN

Where are you, Jack Sparrow? Left me alone on the island...you bastard.

J� passou algum tempo desde o meu �ltimo post mas quis desfrutar este ver�o ao m�ximo com a minha fam�lia. Em Agosto fiquei na minha cidade aproveitando o prazer de n�o fazer nada, somente nadar na piscina e brincar com o meu filho.

Tenho que confessar que foi um ver�o divertido contudo um pouco estranho, com alguns precal�os pelo meio. Primeiro tivemos os fogos mesmo � nossa porta durante o m�s de Agosto e no dia 1 de Setembro vo�mos para as Cara�bas, Rep�blica Dominicana, e logo uns dias depois fomos informados que o furac�o Irma (Categoria 5) iria chegar � nossa ilha, descrito pela imprensa como o maior furac�o na hist�ria.

A primeira semana fic�mos em Boca Chica. � um s�tio acolhedor com uma ba�a natural e a �gua a 30�C. O furac�o Irma passou no Norte da Rep�blica Dominicana e n�s est�vamos no Sul. Contudo o povo de l� j� est� habituado aos furac�es e s�o muito preventivos tendo uma sala pr�pria onde n�s fic�mos durante algumas horas (com m�sica e comida) at� o furac�o abrandar. N�s sentimos alguns ventos e s� um trov�o muito forte parecido com uma bomba. A primeira coisa a fazer nestas situa��es � n�o entrar em p�nico e confiar nas pessoas do Hotel e ouvir as suas indica��es. O pior foi mesmo a espera (3 dias � espera do "monstro" e ver as not�cias foi um pouco assustador. No entanto foram uma f�rias maravilhosas.

Fic�mos 15 dias e tivemos todo o tempo do mundo para nos divertirmos. Na segunda semana mud�mos para La Romana e fic�mos hospedados no hotel "Grand Bahia Principe La Romana". Este hotel � encantador, no entanto tenho que confessar que preferi Boca Chica (Hotel Be Live Experience Hamaca) porque sentimos a vibe da ilha. Na "La Romana" era como se estiv�ssemos noutro s�tio qualquer. A praia n�o era boa e acab�mos por fazer piscina. Descobrimos uma afastada mesmo junto � praia e nunca estava ningu�m.

A experi�ncia que eu e o meu filho mais gost�mos de fazer foi snorkeling na Ilha Catalina. Foi m�gico ver aquela variedade de peixes a nadar junto a n�s no mar quente das Cara�bas.

Conhecemos pessoas maravilhosas, com necessidades, hist�rias comoventes e com uma simpatia e empatia enorme, sempre com um sorriso nos l�bios. Os meus pensamentos est�o com aquelas pessoas.

N�s trazemos boas mem�rias e esta viagem mudou, de certo modo, as nossas vidas.

It's been a while since I did a post but I just wanted to enjoy the summer to the fullest with my family. In August I've been in my city enjoying the pleasure of doing nothing, only swimming by the pool and playing with my kid.

I must confess that it was a fun summer but a little bit weird with some mishaps in the middle. At first, we had the fires knocking at my door in August and on September 1st we flew to the Caribbean Islands at the Dominican Republic and a few days later we were informed that hurricane Irma (category 5) was coming to the island, described by the Press as the most powerful hurricanes in history.

The first week we stayed at Boca Chica at "Be Live Experience Hamaca". It's a cozy place with a natural bay with water at 86�F. The Irma hurricane passed in the north and we were in the south. But that people are "familiar" with hurricanes and they are preventive so they have a place where we stayed for a couple of hours, until the hurricane passes, with music and food...In the south of Dominican Republic, we notice some winds and one strong thunder which the sound seemed like a bomb. The first thing we have to do in these situations is don't panic, trust in the people and listening to the indications. The worst was the waiting (3 days waiting for the "monster" and watching the news was a little bit scaring). Nevertheless, it was an awesome vacation.
We stayed 15 days and we had all the time to have fun. In the second week, we move to La Romana at "Grand Bahia Principe La Romana". This is a charming hotel but I sincerely preferred Boca Chica (Be Live Experience Hamaca) because we feel the vibe of the Island itself. In La Romana, it was like we were elsewhere, I didn't feel the same vibe and didn't like the beach so we went to the pools, they are cool especially a little one near at the beach with nobody else.

The experience which I and my son loved the most was snorkeling at Catalina Island. It was magical seeing the several fishes at the Caribbean sea.

We met wonderful people, people on need with touching stories and so sympathetic and empathetic always with a smile on the face. My thoughts are with that people.

We bring good memories and this travel has changed our lives in a way.

Os Guns N' Roses ir�o atuar hoje no ic�nico teatro de Harlem "APOLLO" para celebrarem os 30 anos do lan�amento do �lbum ""APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION". A mais ic�nica banda de hard rock lan�ou o seu primeiro �lbum no dia 21 de Julho de 1987. 

Quando estava a fazer esta publica��o, pensei primeiro em fazer uma sele��o das minhas m�sicas preferidas. Contudo, cedo percebi que � imposs�vel porque amo o �lbum todo. As m�sicas s�o t�o fortes e vulner�veis ao mesmo tempo. Elas reflectem na perfei��o a personalidade deste cantor �nico.

Se eu tivesse que escolher uma, escolheria a "My Michelle". � obscura, m�stica mas tamb�m tem algo de encantador, amoroso. Para mim esta m�sica � o cavalo negro do �bum e ganhou um lugar cativo no meu cora��o. Enjoy...Eu quero tanto estar em NYC!!!!

Guns N' Roses will perform today at Harlem's world famous APOLLO theater to celebrate the 30th anniversary of "APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION" album. The most iconic hard rock band released their first album on July 21st, 1987. 

At first, when doing this post, I wanted to make a selection of my fav songs. However, I soon realized that's impossible because I love every single song from this album. The songs are incredibly strong and vulnerable at the same time. They reflect so well the personality of this unique singer. If I had to choose one, I would choose "My Michelle". It's dark, mystical but it also has something charming, lovely.  For me, this song is the dark horse of the album and gained a captive place in my heart.  So enjoy...I wanna be in New York city so bad!!!!

Este foi o look que usei para assistir ao festival NOS ALIVE, no dia 2. Vesti-me a rigor para ver os The Kills e The Cult. Foi uma noite maravilhosa a ouvir bom Rock 'n' Roll.

Sinto-me um pouco nost�lgica porque j� n�o h� bandas como os The Cult e GN'R. Eles s�o mesmo badass.

Bem...de volta ao meu look! Este chap�u � uma verdadeira obra de arte. Foi projetado por Virginia Elwood, uma conceituada tatuadora de Brooklyn. Estou obcecada com este diabinho.

Apanhei-o em saldos online. Sou uma mulher de sorte porque chegou mesmo a tempo para o concerto.

Neste look destaco tamb�m a mala com um lobo, num midnight blue a fazer pandan com a maquilhagem dos olhos.

This was the look I wore to attend NOS ALIVE festival, on day 2. I dressed in theme to see The Cult and The Kills. It was an awesome night listening good Rock 'n' Roll.

I'm feeling a little bit nostalgic because there's not bands like The Cult and GN'R no more. They're really badass.

Well...back to my look! This hat is a piece of art. It was enhanced by the Brooklyn tattoo artist, Virginia Elwood. I'm obsessed with this Lil' Devil. I caught it on the sales online. I'm a lucky girl because it arrived just in time for the concert.

In this look I also highlight the bag with a wolf, in a midnight blue to match with the eye makeup.

Vi os The Kills pela primeira vez no Alive em 2012 no Palco Heineken. Alison and Hince conquistaram-me logo com as suas m�sicas, claro, mas especialmente com a sua atitude, senso de est�tica e a intera��o com o p�blico. Eles n�o precisam de falar para n�s, estes dois transmitem uma boa vibra��o. 

Uma vez mais a energia desta banda entrou para a nossa alma. Oh e estou realmente obcecada com a camisa que a Alison vestiu.

Foi a primeira vez que vi os The Cult ao vivo, adoro todas as m�sicas deles. O l�der Ian Astbury perguntou-nos se est�vamos pedrados ou b�bados uma vez que a multid�o estava ap�tica! Foi um bom concerto, contudo curto.

Savages...Tenho que confessar que nunca tinha ouvido as m�sicas desta banda (shame on me) que fez uma boa atua��o no Palco Heineken. A vocalista de nacionalidade Francesa Camille Berthomier a.k.a. Jehnny Beth apareceu num look total preto com sapatos vermelhos com atitude e estilo. Caminhou por cima do p�blico (sem sapatos altos!). Estou f� desta banda brit�nica.

E por �ltimo mas n�o menos importante, Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl, o homem com a guitarra azul el�trico, continua uma crian�a, uma crian�a porreira. Eles atingiram a cidade. Que Deus vos aben�oe rapazes.

I saw The Kills for the first time at Alive in 2012 on the Heineken Stage. Alison and Hince conquered me at first sight with their songs, of course, but especially the attitude, sense of style and the interaction with the crowd they present. They don't need to speak to us, these two have a good vibration. 
Once again the energy of this band came into our soul. Oh and I'm really obsessed with the t-shirt that Alison wore.
It was the first time I saw The Cult alive and kicking, I love every single song from this band. The lead singer Ian Astbury asked us if we were stoned or drunk once the crowd was apathetic! It was a good concert, but too short.
Savages... I must confess I never listened to their songs before (shame on me), they performed a pretty cool show on the Heineken stage. The French musician Camille Berthomier a.k.a. Jehnny Beth appears in total black look with red high heels with attitude and style. She walked over the crowd (with no high heels!). I'm now a fan of this British band.
And last but not least, Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl, the man with the electric blue guitar, still a kid, a cool kid. They hit the city. God bless you guys.

Karl, o Homem de Ferro da Alta-Costura, tomou a passerelle no final do desfile para lhe ser atribu�do o Grand Vermeil pelas m�os de Anne Hidalgo.

Chanel � magia, um contador de hist�rias ... oh quanto eu amo uma bela hist�ria de amor plat�nico.

Talvez j� tenham notado que estou um pouco obcecada com o Estado da Florida, inconscientemente compro uma t-shirt quando os meus olhos se fixam nestes prints.

Sou uma apaixonada pela Florida e tamb�m pela Calif�rnia. No entanto, o �nico Estado em que estive nos Estados Unidos foi Nova Iorque, mais concretamente NYC e guardo excelentes recorda��es. Amei Soho, East Village (Manhattan) e assisti a um espet�culo na m�tica sala de concertos Bowery Ballroom, um local alternativo para assistir a m�sica ao vivo. Nunca esquecerei o concerto de Zola Jesus (4.23.11). Espreitem aqui esses dias.

De volta a Palm Beach. Ainda n�o sei para onde vou nas f�rias de ver�o, contudo estou a pensar nisso...

Cuba tamb�m est� na minha mente.

Maybe you�ve already noticed that I'm a little obsessed with the State of Florida, but it's unconscious when I go buy a t-shirt my eyes fixed on its prints.

I'm passionate about Florida and also California. The only State I have been in U.S.A. was New York, more properly NYC and it's really the big apple and incredibly memorable. I loved Soho, East Village (Manhattan) and I attend a concert in Bowery Ballroom, such a cool and mythical place to watch live music concerts. I will never forget the Zola Jesus' show (4.23.11). Check here those days.

Back to Palm Beach. I don't know where I�m going to on my summer vacations yet�but I'm thinking about it...

TO AXL ROSE: THE LETTER WE OWE YOU

written in two voices

It was last week that, in an instant that I froze in my memory forever, I returned to be 12 years old and you were 30 again. It was when, among the crowd in ecstasy, I saw you appear on that giant stage, when your voice made me run back the 25 years that separated our paths, that this feeling of synchrony imposed on everything else. "It's so easy" marked the apotheosis of the entrance and was the beginning of a journey back in time, in my history and in the history of Guns N' Roses.

Because this concert was a piece of history. A story that is shared with many thousands (I fear to fail for modesty) of people around the world, who grew up with your band's songs, who cried and laughed, who learned a little of what life could be. When you are 12 years old, all words seem to matter too much, and those you sang became personal history flags.

Did you know that on a rainy day in November, I started to draw a smile on my face? Can you imagine how often I sang Estranged while I was 28?

The songs succeeded, in a soothing eagerness of those who waited too long. And perhaps because of this, all absences were noticed, too noticed. Despite all the criticisms that are often directed at you Axl, you have been blameless. You asked us if we agreed that the evening was fine and it was enough to have us by your side for the three hours we spent together. 

Do you remember, Axl, when in St. Louis insane hell hit the stage when a guy kept filming you when you asked him to stop? Cameras are so weak at capturing the essence. I couldn�t record the concert, Axl. It was too good and i just couldn�t.

Twenty-five years ago, if my path had crossed yours, I would have also crossed over with Chris Cornell's. Soundgarden was the first band in the concert of Guns N' Roses in the stadium of Alvalade and this time you brought him back to us again. So that we would hear it one more time. And You gave us the smile followed by a shrug, during �Coma�, as you ended the verse "I never really wanted to live" and we remembered that everything that you have passed has not been easy. Deep down, it never was, right Axl? And, maybe that's what brings us so close. This deep empathy with the sufferings of existence. As I once saw in Slash's t-shirt "Life's a bitch and then you die". But it is an existence that also has very good things. Like the concert last week. And it is through them that it makes sense to yell, as often as necessary, the �Get in the ring�. And that is why we ask that this is not the last farewell.

Because that's how you are Axl. Good and bad. Angel and demon. Human and unbearable. And although you did not always receive it in your life, you managed to give us the understanding and support that we needed, you managed to transform into art the toxicity of your life. And it became part of us. The good part of us.

A carta que te devemos � escrita a duas vozes

Foi na semana passada que, num instante que congelei na minha mem�ria para sempre, eu voltei a ter 12 anos e tu voltaste a ter 30. Foi quando, por entre a multid�o em �xtase, te vi surgir naquele palco gigante, quando a tua voz me fez recuar os 25 anos que separaram os nossos caminhos, que este sentimento de sincronia se imp�s a tudo o resto. O �It�s so easy� marcou a apoteose da entrada e foi o in�cio de uma viagem no tempo, na minha hist�ria e na hist�ria dos Guns N' Roses.

Porque este concerto foi um peda�o de hist�ria. Uma hist�ria que � partilhada com largos milhares (temo pecar por mod�stia) de pessoas por esse mundo fora, que cresceram com as m�sicas da tua banda, que choraram e riram, que aprenderam um pouco do que a vida poder� ser. Quando se tem 12 anos, todas as palavras parecem importar demasiado, e as que cantavas tornaram-se estandartes de hist�ria pessoal.

Ser� que sabes que um dia de chuva em Novembro passou a desenhar-me um sorriso nos l�bios?  Ser� que imaginas as vezes que cantei a Estranged enquanto tive 28 anos?

As m�sicas sucederam-se umas �s outras, numa �nsia calmante de quem esperou demasiado. E talvez por isso, todas as aus�ncias foram notadas, demasiado notadas. Apesar de todas as cr�ticas que frequentemente te s�o dirigidas Axl, estiveste irrepreens�vel. Perguntaste-nos se concord�vamos que a noite estava �ptima e foi o suficiente para nos teres a teu lado durante as tr�s horas que pass�mos juntos. Lembras-te, Axl, quando em St. Louis fizeste o inferno subir ao palco quando um tipo continuou a filmar-te quando lhe pediste para parar? As c�maras s�o t�o fracas a capturar a ess�ncia. N�o tive tempo para te filmar. Foi demasiado bom para que me tivesse lembrado. 

H� 25 anos atr�s, se o meu caminho se tivesse cruzado com o teu, teria tamb�m cruzado com o do Chris Cornell. Soundgarden foi a primeira banda do concerto de Guns N' Roses no est�dio de Alvalade e tamb�m agora o trouxeste de novo at� n�s. Para que o ouv�ssemos mais uma vez. � no sorriso seguido de um encolher de ombros com que, durante a "Coma", terminas o verso �I never really wanted to live� que intu�mos que tudo o que passaste n�o tem sido f�cil. No fundo, nunca foi, pois n�o? E, talvez seja isso, que nos aproxima tanto. Esta t�o profunda empatia com os sofrimentos da exist�ncia. Como dizia, em tempos, a t-shirt do Slash �Life�s a bitch and then you die�. Mas � uma exist�ncia que tamb�m tem coisas muito boas. Como o concerto da semana passada. E � por elas que faz sentido entoar, as vezes que forem necess�rias, o "Get in the ring". E � por isso que te pedimos que esta n�o seja a �ltima despedida.

Porque � assim que tu �s Axl. Bom e mau. Anjo e dem�nio. Humano e insuport�vel. E, apesar de nem sempre o teres recebido na tua vida, conseguiste dar-nos a compreens�o e o apoio que precis�mos, conseguiste transformar em arte a toxicidade da tua vida. E isso passou a fazer parte de n�s. Da parte boa de n�s.

Quando penso que j� n�o vou mudar mais de champ�, eis que aparece na minha vida o Dercos para cabelos sensibilizados pintados da Vichy. 

Este produto que n�o cont�m sulfatos nem parabenos, mudou a minha vis�o acerca dos champ�s que n�o fazem espuma. Ou seja, para mim, um bom champ� tinha que obrigatoriamente fazer espuma para sentir o cabelo lavado. 

Este da Vichy � uma descoberta espacial. Confesso que quando comecei a lavar o cabelo pensei logo: �Outro para a cole��o da prateleira�! Eis sen�o quando, come�o a sentir logo no decorrer da lavagem o cabelo sedoso, lavado, macio, brilhante�n�o tenho adjetivos. O que � certo � que arrisquei e n�o coloquei amaciador porque achei o cabelo hidratado. Penteio-me e voil�! Cabelo com um movimento fant�stico sem ficar pesado.

Conclus�o: Vou fazer uma pausa no que usava, um fant�stico da K�rastase, e mantenho-me com este.  Parece que vai ser uma rela��o duradoura e renovada. 

Vantagens: Tem uma �tima rela��o qualidade/pre�o, o facto da embalagem ser com doseador ajuda imenso na poupan�a do produto e � um champ� de uso frequente. S� tenho a ganhar. E voc�s tamb�m!

When I thought not to change shampoo anymore, it appears Dercos by Vichy for sensitized colored hair. This product with parabens and sulfate free changed my vision regarding non-foaming shampoos. That�s to say a shampoo should obligatory  to do  some foam in order for me to feel the hair well washed.

This one from Vichy it�s a space discovery. I confess that when I started washing hair, I thought: �another one for my shelf�s collection�! But when I started washing the hair, I felt It was well washed, silky, bright and soft...I have no adjectives. Sure is that I risked and I did not used any conditioner because the hair was well hydrated. I�ve  brushed it and voil�! Hair with a fantastic movement without being heavy.

Conclusion: I�m  doing a break with that one I was using, a fantastic one from K�rastase and I�ll keep this one. It seems that will be a lasting and renewed relationship.

Advantages:  Has a good ratio quality/price,  the  dosing package helps a lot to save the product and it�s a frequent use shampoo. I only have to win. And you too!

1964 - 2017

SEATTLE. THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING.

Seattle had always been a peaceful and quiet town, only dominated by some factories (Boeing and Microsoft), and dealing, day after day, with the unemployment problem. 

Something was in the air...the rage and frustration of a young generation was starting the develop and to be expressed, especially in the music. The early '90s was the big boom of grunge music: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains and Stone Temple Pilots were the special ones. 

"Smells like teen Spirit" from Nirvana, became the song of a whole generation. It expressed the disappointment caused by the government and the lyrics became a credo to some. Their musics were powerful but also melodic. Fashion starts to pay attention to this movement, and soon messy hair, chess flannel shirts were all over the corner and the kids started to dress like her idols.

But shit happens (always with my fave bands). Soon TV and newspapers became interested in everything about their lives, that started to be a perfect hell. Everything they did, in the day after, was written in the newspaper criticizing them to the limit ("Printin' lies, startin' controversy", you know) #fuckthetabloidpress.

After this movement the history of music will never be same again. Grunge music's like a colorful salad but with too much vinegar (I love it). It's got a philosophy and a film ("Singles") it arouses the world to their real problems. I just have one thing to say: Thank you!

Eddie Vedder is one of the small amount who is facing the reality straight.
